Welcome to Monks Brook U3A
It is my great pleasure as current chair of Monks Brook U3A (Chandlers Ford) to welcome you to our website. The u3a is a UK-wide movement of local groups each of which provides a range of opportunities for retired people to socialise and at the same time to explore new ideas, skills and activities together.
Each local group is run entirely by its members many of whom use their skills and experience to set up or run interest groups, the number of which varies according to the size of the group. See the list under the Activites menu. Many new friendships are formed within the u3a as people socialise, learn and laugh together. A small committee oversees the operation of the group.
