The Group has evolved from the original Computer Skills Group to cover a wider range of topics, not just computers and how to use them.
As well as computers, tablets and smartphones, we now cover smart devices such as security cameras, thermostats, doorbells, music systems, smart TVs, smart homes (all the above coming under the generic term IoT (the Internet of Things). We will also cover electric cars, smart metering systems, and how technology can help us with our finances, holiday bookings, etc. Occasional "workshops" are also held.
We meet on the afternoon of the 2nd Monday of the month at the Cranbury Room at the Hilt, activities include question and answer sessions, talks and demonstrations.
There is a charge of £1/ £2 to cover room hire.
